It is a great honour to be here with you, to share the results of 45 years of continuous and tireless success of our establishment, created by H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and named after the Emirate that has become a beacon for the region and the world.

On behalf of the Chairman of Bank of Sharjah Mr. Ahmed Abdallah Al-Noman and the members of the Board of Directors, I express our deep gratitude and appreciation to His Highness for his continuous support throughout the history of the Bank. We stand proud of the milestones that led us here today, and promise you a future with a vision, an immeasurable determination and unbreakable resilience in the face of difficulties and challenges,

I would like also to warmly thank H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the UAE, the leader of growth and development, H.H. Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Ruler of Dubai and H.H. Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and the members of the Federal Supreme Council of the UAE.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today, from the heart of Sharjah, we celebrate together the 45th anniversary of Bank of Sharjah and we reiterate our commitment and continuous dedication to growth and success inspired by H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and his clear-sighted leadership that has taught us that human beings belong to their society and environment and that building a community requires collective effort at all cultural, scientific, economic and societal levels.

As the founding father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan had said: “The real wealth is hard work that benefits the person and the community. It is immortal and eternal, and forms the value of the human and the nation”.

Throughout 45 years, we have spared no efforts to serve the community. We have worked alongside the best people in the Country and the Emirate. Each smile on our children’s faces is a source of pride for us. Each educational diploma that our students have received is a step towards a better tomorrow. Each contribution that helps a sick person motivates us to work harder, give back more, and evolve faster.

Our partners in giving are many, and some of them are with us tonight. To them we say, we are with you and we will support you now and in the future as we have done in the past, through transferring this legacy of commitment to our Nation and community to the next generation. Thank you for letting us be part of your dreams and your constructive and purposeful projects.

Bank of Sharjah is more than a commercial bank. Thanks to your support, and the dedication of its Board and its employees, the Bank has grown and become an asset in the banking sector locally and internationally, and a partner known for its reputation and its excellent relationship with its clients, which have become stronger throughout the years.

We have always wanted the celebration of the 45th anniversary of Bank of Sharjah to be as exceptional as this Emirate whose name is associated with culture, arts and human values. And for this purpose, we turned to H.E. Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammad Al Qasimi.

We have been associated for decades with the institution that she leads “the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services”; she honours us tonight, represented by Mrs Mona Al Yafee. We can only bow in appreciation of her humility, sacrifice and tireless role in continuing to spread the seeds of giving and solidarity; traits that she has reiterated once again by allowing us to highlight the strong bonds that bring us together through the flow of artistic short representations and sketches starring the students of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian services.

We are proud to belong to this great family that cherishes love and compassion, just like it was intended by H.H Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi and his kind spouse H.H Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, the pioneer in empowering women and children, promoting health, family values and preserving cultural heritage.

Finally, I hope that you enjoy this event that reflects the importance that we attach to our traditions, values and community.
