Announcement regarding cash dividends unclaimed by the shareholders of listed local Public Joint Stock Companies and held by companies before 1 march 2015

This is with reference to the directives issued by Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) regarding cash dividends unclaimed by the shareholders of listed Public Joint Stock Companies and held by companies before 1 March 2015.
 
Bank of Sharjah P.J.S.C invites shareholders who are entitled to receive cash dividends that have not been claimed for the period prior to 1 March 2015, to visit the following electronic link to ensure that shareholders name is available as an entitled beneficiary of unclaimed cash dividends (https://www.bankofsharjah.com/en/aboutus/investor-relations/shareholders/unclaimed-dividends). In the event that the shareholder is entitled to such cash dividends, please note that it is required to provide the bank with the following documents, to release the payment.
 
  1. A letter addressed to Bank of Sharjah and signed by the shareholder or his/her legal representative, requesting a cheque or a bank transfer to be made in the amount of the cash dividends due.
  2. The original Emirates ID of the shareholder and a copy thereof, or the original passport of the shareholder and a copy thereof.
  3. In the case of a public or private Power of Attorney (POA), please provide the original and authenticated POA document along with a copy thereof, as well as the Emirates ID of the POA holder and a copy thereof, or the original passport of the POA holder and a copy thereof.
  4. Any other documents required by Bank of Sharjah P.J.S.C.
Furthermore, it is confirmed that as of 14th  February 2021, all other unclaimed cash dividends shall be transferred to Securities and Commodities Authority, which will in turn, be responsible for distributing these cash dividends to the respective entitled shareholders, upon their request, SCA will publish a statement on its website and the financial markets website explaining that it is undertaking this role along with all the details in due course.
